High School Admissions

The high school admission process includes formal application from parents and students, review of previous school records, and a personal interview between the family and the high school principal.

While admission to Southfield Christian School is preferred at semester breaks (August and January), applications are accepted year-round. The high school has a capacity of 300 students; 75 students (3 sections) in each grade 9 thru 12.

For additional information, contact Dr. Phil Ackley at (248) 357-3660 ext. 247 or email him at doc@southfieldchristian.org.

Admission Process

  • Attend one our Prospective Parents Open Houses (scheduled each fall, winter, and spring) to see the school and meet several teachers and administrators.
  • It is now possible to start your admission process online. Start that process here.
  • Pick-up (or download) an application. A copy of your student's most recent report card, transcript, and standardized test scores are required to be submitted with the application. We also ask for a sample essay from your student on the form provided.
  • Mail (or drop off) the completed application to the school.
  • If a student meets the admission standards, an interview is the final step in the admissions process. A parent or guardian and the prospective student meet with the principal at a scheduled time convenient for all. At the interview, the student's faith experience and personal character will be explored.
  • Accepted students will be required to pay a non-refundable $200 registration fee, a tuition payment (depending on time of admission), and provide a certified birth certificate (to be returned at interview).
  • Parents arrange for a physical examination for the student. The form for the physical will be provided at the time of the student interview.
